NABARD officials Sri.Ramesh Babu,GM-NABARD, Mumbai, Mr.Hariharan, Manager-NABARD. Mr.Chandrasekhar,AGM-NABARD, Warangal and Shri Aryan, Assistant Manager, NABARD have visited KVK on 01-03-2025 o gain inputs as part of stakeholders meeting aimed at extending agriculture and allied activities through Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS). Dr Ch. Sowmya proposed a custom hiring centre of agricultural machinery as one of the options to PACS. The team visited the KVK biofloc demonstration unit and held a discussion with Dr.G.Ganesh, SMS (Aquaculture) about the cost-effectiveness of the biofloc unit i.e . capital and operational costs associated with the biofloc unit,as well as the benefit-cost ratio. The team later visited a farmer biofloc unit at Singaram village, Inavole Mandal, which was established under the technical guidance of KVK Mamnoor. The team interacted with fish farmer regarding the construction of the unit, feeding methods, flock preparation, marketing facilities and benefit-cost ratio.
