KVK Mamnoor conducted Kisan Mela under Special project of Cotton, CICR, Nagpur- Targeting technologies to agro-ecological zones-large scale demonstration of best practices to enhance cotton productivity" under NFSM on 30-01-2025. Warangal district Collector and District Magistrate Dr. Satya Sharada attended as chief guest and inaugurated the KVK stall and visited different stalls exhibited with all line department officials. After visit, the programme started with lighting of lamp, followed by State song. Dr. Rajanna Programme Coordinator and Head KVK Mamnoor Warangal welcomed the gathering and narrated the activities of KVK Mamnoor and briefed on outreach to farmers and requested Collector to provide funds to create water facility for KVK instructional farm. A booklet was released on High density planting system in Cotton. Collector appreciated the activities of KVK and urged the farmers to utilize the services of KVK and briefed on export options for cotton. Dr. Ch.
Sowmya explained the theme of Kisan Mela and briefed on the Cotton project implemented during 2023- 24 and 2024-25. Dr. G. Veeranna PS Cotton discussed in detail canopy management in cotton. Director of Extension Kishan Kumar encouraged the farmers to adopt new innovations in agriculture. Dr. Srinivas Reddy Associate Dean, College of Veterinary Science suggested farmers to take up integrated farming. DAO Warangal encouraged the farmers to adopt farm mechanization and lower cost of cultivation. All line department officials briefed on their activities. Farmers gave their feedback on HDPS cotton. Progressive farmers were felicitated. Dr. Raju proposed a vote of thank. The programme concluded by paying respect to National anthem by all officials, KVK staff, farmers and participants of different seed, fertilizer, farm machinery companies.
