Workshop on HDPS cotton under Special project on cotton,ICAR-CICR titled "Targeting technologies to agro-ecological zones-large scale demonstration of best practices to enhance cotton Productivity" under NFSM was conducted on 08-01-2025. Dr. N. Rajanna PC and Head briefed on the project details and emphasized on the value addition of cotton stalks as biofuel, briquettes and pellets, compost to reduce environmental pollution occurring through burning of cotton stalks. DAO Warangal ensured thier cooperation in validation of DBT to farmers and urged the farmers to take up HDPS cotton technology in the coming season. DAO Hanumakonda explained the advantages of HDPS cotton technology. Dr. Ch. Sowmya , SMS Agronomy discussed in detail canopy management in cotton and the role of farm machinery. Dr.A. Raju dealt with pest and disease management in cotton. NFSM consultant Sarangam briefed on pneumatic planter for sowing and cotton shredder for incorporating stubbles in cotton. Representative from Rasi seeds and Veda seeds explained about the performance of their varieties.The programme concluded with farmers feedback on the technology
