Field day in HDPS cotton under Special project on cotton ,ICAR-CICR titled "Targetting technologies to agro-ecological zones-large scale demonstration of best practices to enhance cotton Productivity" under NFSM was conducted on 17-10-2024 at East Khilla Warangal, Warngal district. Dr. N. Rajanna PC and Head briefed on the project details and extent of coverage implemented during this year. District Agriculture officer Smt. Anuradha discussed prospects of HDPS cotton like increase in yields, crop rotation etc. Later visited the field of Karunakar Reddy and observed the performance of the crop. Vijeta 858 of Nuziveedu seeds was sown and plant recorded an average of 21 bolls per plant. All Bio-metric parameters like Plant height, spacing, No.of Monopodial and sympodial branches, No.of bolls, No.of squares and Leaf Area Index in HDPS cotton were recorded. The programme concluded with farmer - scientist interaction. Sri. Ramna Reddy (RM) Nuziveedu seeds, Sri. Ravinder reddy (Warangal AO), Sri Hariprasad, (Geesukonda, A.O), Harsha, YP-2 and Saichand, YP-1 also participated in this programme.
